Every sports participant wants to get the edge over his or her opponent, but how do you get it? That is where sports specific coaching & training can help. With a few changes to your current regime you can maximise the results you crave for a better performance.
Due to the repetitive nature of sport there are many factors controlled by you that can potentially decrease performance and increase risk of injury. Using running as an example, reviewing technique allows us to address potential areas of weakness. A runner’s performance can be inhibited by many factors, such as poor footwear, gait, core/hip stability, tight hamstrings or hip flexors, poor balance & proprioception.
Using triathlon as a further example, participants need to be fit to perform in three very different activities. So where do you start? Aerobic fitness? Anaerobic power? Speed? Technique? Do you spend more time in the pool or on the bike? This can all be confusing and to many a daunting prospect with too much to address with too little time. By creating a programme that deals with these many aspects, goals can be achieved whilst being sensitive to the needs of both work and home life.
Whatever sport you participate in, posture and biomechanics will be assessed, current technique, fitness and
stability reviewed, and where necessary altered to enable you to get the best out of your ability.
